From September 13 to September 28, the IUC Academic Coordinator, Ugo Mattei, visited China, hosted by the Lanzhou University Center for Italy Studies and its Director, Professor Liu Guanghua. The visit included seminars and academic exchanges with colleagues and partners in Beijing, Lanzhou, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou.
Together with Professor Elisabetta Grande from the University of Eastern Piedmont, the IUC delegation thoroughly explored the beautiful Gansu Province, experiencing its rich cultural heritage and academic traditions.

The visit strengthened ties between the IUC and Chinese academic institutions, paving the way for future collaboration on comparative law, BRICS legal frameworks, and critical approaches to international economic law.

About the IUC/Lanzhou Forum: This new initiative strengthens the IUC's commitment to BRICS+ engagement and creates a platform for sustained academic dialogue between European and Chinese scholars on the transformation of international law in a multipolar world.
