The Sustainable Food Procurement Manifesto
The Sustainable Food Procurement Manifesto, promoted by the Buy Better Food campaign, calls for the establishment of minimum mandatory criteria for public canteens across the EU as part of implementing the Farm to Fork strategy.[web:153][web:154][web:155]
It proposes seven key target areas that go beyond āgreenā public procurement: healthy food, organic and other agroāecological products, support for smallāscale farmers, climate action, decent working conditions, fair trade, and animal welfare.[web:153][web:154][web:155]
